For as long as I can remember, I've loved working with wood. My father was a fine artist, and though not a woodworker per se, he instilled in me an appreciation for workmanship and an eye for detail and color that helps me to this day. In cabinet and architectural woodshops I learned about fine woodworking, hand tools and finishing, and for a time was the proprietor of a full service refinishing shop. During this time, I was fortunate to have some mentors who taught me the lost art of touch-up. I enjoyed the satisfaction of making problems “disappear” without stripping the finish or removing the furniture from the premises. This eventually became my focus, and over the years I have built a business servicing homeowners, furniture and kitchen retailers, professional offices, moving companies and construction companies.
