History:

Owners Mark and Kathleen Reynolds bring a broad and distinctive palette to their business. Their combined professional experience in the fields of finishing and design are substantial. This unique combination of talents under one roof allows clients to choose from a wide range of custom finishing services.

As a youngster; Mark spent many weekends and summers helping his grandmother paint, strip, and refinish furniture. From those early seeds blossomed an appreciation of art and antique furnishings. Through the years Mark polished his craft as an apprentice working for both regional and European master craftsmen. Steadily he built his reputation as a master in the art of finishes. After years of training and working for other companies including ICI DULUX PAINTS(GLIDDEN) and the HOME DEPOT Mark established Timeless Finishes in 2000.

After attending the University of Alabama, with a major in art. Kathleen furthered her education by enrolling at the Southern Institute School of Interior Design where she graduated with honors. In 1986, she became a certified interior designer passing (on her first try) the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam. In 1987, Kathleen returned to Southern Institute School of Interior Design where she spent the next 8 years as a faculty member teaching perspective drawing and architectural rendering. These were also the years that Kathleen began to establish herself as a very in demand designer and artist specializing in hand painted furnishings, faux techniques and murals.

In November 2005 Kathleen became a full partner at Timeless Finishes.
