The Shambles Furniture Restoration has been family owned and operated by the Sanders family since 1966. It has a forty year customer based legacy serving Indianapolis and all of Indiana. Ron, who was born and raised in Indianapolis, took over the family business 24 years ago from his father Alva. Ron, along with his talented, trained, and experienced workforce are located in a 6,000 square foot facility at 7183 W. U.S. 40 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Through the years, The Shambles has been involved in many historical restoration projects including: The L.S. Ayres Tea Room at the Indiana State Museum; The Murat Center lobby furniture; and even a Hoosier built table, which was used at the White House during the President Benjamin Harrison Administration, and currently is in the downtown Columbia Club.

Ron recently restored an 1820's log cabin that was uncovered in a neighboring house. After the cabin was restored Ron was presented with an award from The Historical Landmarks Foundation for best adaptive commercial use. Ron is also very active in community service presently as President of the Cumberland GAP (a not for profit organization) promoting the growth and progress of Cumberland. Ron is currently on the board of the Indiana National Road Association. He also serves on various committees at the pleasure of his local town council; and maintains memberships with Greenfield Chamber of Commerce, Claims Prevention and Procedure Council, and the Indiana Warehouseman's Association.
