My father Bruce was always a treasure hunter. He loved antiques and restoring them. He started the business over thirty years ago (1976). My brother John and I eventually joined him here in Pacific Grove. We now have fifty years between us of restoration experience.
Something new walks in the shop every day and it is a joy to come to work and be challenged my what you love to do. John does all the refinishing while I repair and specialize in the weaving and restoring of chair seats.

I consider myself a craftsman. Webster's definition : somebody who makes decorative or practical objects skillfully by hand. Somebody who does something with great skill and expertise.
I come from a family of craftsman which include artists, sculptors, woodworkers and homemakers. I am dedicated to practice, appreciate, and to pass on the arts and crafts of my heritage and lifestyle.
I love what I do. I do it well. It brings me a great sense of satisfaction.

We currently service the Monterey Bay area. Our policy is by appointment only. People travel from much farther away for our services. We have a storage area to accommodate waiting projects.
We normally don't charge for pick-up or delivery in our local area. Estimates are no charge. We do not do moving damage claims.
To some extent we can work from e-mail photos to give a rough estimate but seeing the piece first hand is best.
