I have been in the wood finishing business since 1969. Having grown up exposed to fine furniture with my mom an ASID member interior designer and her mother an interior designer in Los Angeles in the 40's and 50's, I have a good understanding of the bad, the good and the excellent with regard to finish quality.

I started working in a furniture store in the mid sixties delivering and touching up fine furniture. After a brief stint in a far off war, I came back to the business but developed a passion for the restoration aspect of furniture. To take a piece of junk or a neglected heirloom and bring it back to life to be enjoyed for many years to come proved to be very rewarding. Eventually I moved into refinishing kitchens with the same quality and care I put into the furniture. From there I branched out into larger projects such as new kitchens, entertainment centers and entire homes which is pretty much where I remain today.

I spent quite a few years in the Beverly Hills area working in beautiful homes of people you would recognize. I now try to stay near where I live in Orange County.

Maybe I'm a control freak but I generally work alone. I maintain complete "quality control" that way or I will occasionally employ a helper or two as the job requires.

With 40 years of experience in furniture quality finishing I am able to provide exactly what the client is looking for. I use only the finest materials in order to create the look and durability one should expect from a high end finish.

Over the years I have had opportunities to work with all woods and applications. Each job requires it's own unique approach in order to achieve the desired result. There are so many different techniques as well as materials such as stains, dyes, glazes, catalyzed, non catalyzed, exterior, interior, gloss, flat, rubbed, sprayed, brushed and on and on. It's what "you" want and I can help you with your choices. Color matching is second nature to me or color compatibility with your existing decor.
