Mackensie Ashton grew up in the towns of Sebastopol and Forestville, right here in Sonoma County.
Mackensie has been doing woodworking for 17 years. She was stationed with the U.S. Navy on the east coast in 1989 where she honed many mechanical skills as a Boiler Technician, Third Class Petty Officer. After returning to port after Desert Storm, she became interested in collecting and restoring antiques in her off duty time. With an honorable discharge and four medals, she came home to Sebastopol, CA., to earn a degree in Interior Design from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, San Francisco.
While pursuing a career in Kitchen and Bath design for eleven years, the woodworking life kept calling her back. It has become a life long passion that has allowed the creation of this business today. Mackensie is proud to finally have found her calling with the opening of Restoration Station.
Restoration Station is the culmination of 18 years of hands on knowledge in woodworking, interior design and project management. We utilize many working and retired craftsman in three counties to create an exquisitely finished product.
